Leak Proof Part Two • Trowel-Applied Paste • For Deeper Voids

JPL LPPT (LeakProof Part Two) is a high-build waterproofing paste designed to fill bigger voids and make the surface abrasion resistant. Applied with a trowel/blade over a 45 GSM nylon mesh reinforcement, it builds an 800–2000 micron crack-bridging film with 12.47 N/mm² tensile strength and 500 hours UV-tested durability.

High-Build Paste — Deeper Voids
Fills bigger voids in a single system — 800 to 2000 microns per coat.
Mesh-Reinforced & Abrasion Resistant
Used with 45 GSM nylon mesh — 12.47 N/mm² tensile, 1.9 MPa flexural strength.
UV-Tested 500 Hours
Per ASTM G 154 — 5.92% elongation at break after 500 hrs of UV exposure.
Strong Adhesion — Exterior Grade
2.2 N/mm² adhesion (ASTM D 790-17), 7.2 MPa compressive strength.

Product Overview

JPL LPPT is the paste-based second half of the JPL Leak Proof two-part waterproofing system. Engineered to fill bigger voids in concrete, RCC and tiled substrates, it must be applied alongside a 45 GSM nylon mesh as a reinforcing agent. The result is a tough, abrasion-resistant, UV-stable waterproofing layer ideal for terraces, basements, swimming pools and slab/expansion joints.

Used with JPL LPPO (liquid, for finer voids) to deliver a complete two-coat waterproofing system with NIL water absorption.

Technical Advantages

A trowel-applied, mesh-reinforced waterproofing paste that fills deeper voids, resists abrasion and stands up to 500 hours of accelerated UV testing.

1

Anti-Fungal

Resists fungal and algal attack in damp basements, sunken areas and tank surfaces.

2

Exterior Grade

UV-tested for 500 hrs (ASTM G 154) — built for outdoor terraces, parapets and rooftops.

3

Water Resistant

NIL water absorption with 80% solid content — a true barrier-grade waterproofing layer.

4

Tough & Durable

12.47 N/mm² tensile strength, 7.2 MPa compressive (IS-17545-2021), 1.9 MPa flexural.

5

Indentation Resistant

Abrasion-resistant cured layer — handles light foot traffic on terraces and washrooms.

6

Colour Fast

UV-stable formulation maintains its finished appearance over time of exterior exposure.

Application Procedure — JPL LPPT

Wet Areas on Fresh Civil Surfaces

  • Apply the first coat of LPPT with a 45 GSM nylon mesh, ensuring even coverage, and let it dry completely.
  • Apply a second coat of LPPT after 4–6 hours, followed by two coats of LPPO for added sealing.
  • Reinforce corners with LPPT, fill visible voids, and ensure uniform application for complete waterproofing.

Basements

  • Apply LPPT with a 45 GSM nylon mesh over the RCC surface, allow it to dry, and apply a second coat.
  • Add two coats of LPPO for extra protection, then fill the area with sand and mud for leveling.
  • Use LPPT for corner coving (100 × 100 mm to 300 × 300 mm), fill visible voids, and reinforce with nylon mesh for thorough sealing.

Slab Joints & Expansion Joints

  • Cut a mesh of 6" × 1', dip it in LPPT, fold it, and fill the joints.
  • Allow it to dry completely and repeat the process until all voids are filled, then apply LPPT across the surface.
  • Finally, apply LPPT and affix an 8"-wide nylon mesh by overlapping through the joint area.

Terrace / Sunken Areas

  • After first LPPO coat on RCC dries (4–6 hours), apply two coats of LPPT with 45 GSM fiber mesh embedded between them.
  • Apply mesh on the first LPPT coat while wet; wait 4–6 hours before the second and final LPPT coat.
  • Close the system with a second coat of LPPO using a roller for a smooth, sealed finish.

Coverage

Pack Coverage (Two Coats)
20 Kg Bucket140–150 Sq.ft.

Note: Coverage may vary based on void depth, surface profile and trowel application thickness. Conduct a site trial before full application.
